The Digimon giving Athena lessons is a fan digimon called Echidramon. Mervamon is legit one of my fave digimon so I had fun doing slight altercations to distinguish individuals, the combat teacher is a horned viper, and the one with the bad news is based loosely off of a garter snake. In my head any Digimon listed as a "God Man" type are ageless. Only expiring through unnatural causes such injury or sickness(though some may have a great resilience to the latter cause) This, I hope explains Athena's somewhat 'aged' appearance compared to her base species.
